On August 16, 2019, Dr. Le Minh Chien, President of Da lat University, together with heads of related department, hold a meeting with Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of Dukakis Institute of Leadership and Innovation along with Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong, Chairman of Board of Directors of Agarwood Khanh Hoa Company and Mr. Trinh Hai, senior staff of SH Bank.
At the meeting, Dr. Le Minh Chien confirmed that Dalat University was ready to embark on the construction of the Artificial Intelligence World Society (AIWS) House, which is the foundation for future cooperation between Da Lat University and The Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation on the development of artificial intelligence.
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan pledged to support Dalat University in building AIWS House to honor the values of artificial intelligence, inviting top professors in the world coming to Dalat University, and opening short-term and long-term artificial intelligence courses
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong and Mr. Trinh Hai pledged to support the university in construction, research, and training related to artificial intelligence.
In particular, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan assured to support the university to organize the AIWS Festival of arts in December 2020. The festival is an event that attracts artificial intelligence products worldwide. It is expected that about 30 countries will exhibit products at this event.
In the future, the Dukakis Institute will be the focal point to invite leading experts in artificial intelligence to support the University of Dalat in implementing research, short-term and long-term training programs as well as talk show with the purpose of attracting attention from teachers and students around the world.
To sum up, the President of Dalat University, Dr. Le Minh Chien affirmed that the leaders of the University fully supports and creates the most favorable conditions to deploy activities related to artificial intelligence. The university leaders also asked the relevant departments to work closely to support the university in implementing the construction of AIWS House and the preparation for AIWS Festival arts in the following year./.
